In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are staying calm and doing all we can to be good employers and good neighbours. While we are committed to remain open to the best of our ability during this crisis, we take our staff and community’s health and well-being as our highest priority.
We encourage our guests to help us reduce the risk of infection by following the guidelines outlined by the Public Health Agency of Canada. If you are coughing, sneezing, or have a fever, please stay home and self-isolate. Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the sleeve at the bend of your arm. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
Increased cleaning and sanitation on all surfaces and high touch points – counter tops, door handles, pinpads, ATM etc. Use of disposable gloves for all cleaning and cash handling. Educating our staff daily on the increased sanitation protocols.
We have temporarily stopped accepting empty bottle returns.
STAFF MEMBER HEALTH
We are reinforcing with staff members vigilant hand washing before, throughout and after their shifts.
We have asked staff members to refrain from coming to work if they are feeling sick. We will be instituting temporary sick-pay during the pandemic for all staff who feel sick, must quarantine due to exposure to confirmed Covid-19 case and to any who test positive for the virus. Managers are required to send home any staff showing signs of flu-like symptoms and to report any such incidences to Head Office.
We promise to actively monitor the updates and recommendations of the Public Health Agency of Canada and BC’s Provincial Health Office.
We wish all of you the best
